The Proform 790T Treadmill is the middle model for the Proform Tech Series. The Tech series allows you to synchronize your workout plan with the most up-to-date treadmill technologies. It has a few upgrades over the base model 590T Proform Treadmill.

If you really like the tech series Proform treadmill and find the 590T is missing a few features and specifications, the 790T may fill those gaps with a stronger motor (2.5HP), more preset workouts, and a higher weight capacity.

Key Features:

This 790T Proform treadmill (like all Proform treadmills) has a superior cushioning system (Protech Cushioning) that reduce impact on your joints by 15% as compared to road running. It delivers the perfect balance of comfort and joint protection.

Proform prides itself with feature packed fitness equipment. The Proform 790T treadmill has 16 pre-programmed workouts, grip heart rate monitor, and a sound system compatible with ipods.

Proform has made its models more appealing by providing an good warranty. In the past, its warranties were 90 days but you can expect the Proform 790T Treadmill to have a lifetime on frame and motor, 2 year on parts and 1 year labor. A bit stronger than the base model, but still weak for parts and labor.

Final verdict:

For an extra 300$ compared to the 590T, you get: incline of 12% (instead of 10%), max speed of 12 mph (instead of 10 mph), 2.5 CHP motor (compared to 2.25 CHP), and additional preset workouts. But best of all, you are getting a lifetime warranty on motor and 2 years on parts.

It is a compromise between the 590T and the 1050T.

It’s currently on sale for $799. This might not last for long but that’s its only good selling point.
