The Proform Power 690 treadmill is the base model for the Proform Power Series. If you are not into up-to-date treadmill technologies, the power series might be a more suitable option. While eliminating some of its features, it is compensated by its increased motor power for the same price.

This might not be suitable for long distance runners. With the weight limit at 300 lbs, it is suitable for runners less than 200lbs. The motor power has 2.75 CHP, which is quite solid for a base model and for its price range.

This 690 Proform treadmill has a superior cushioning system (Protech Cushioning) that reduce impact on your joints by 15% as compared to road running. It delivers the perfect balance of comfort and joint protection.

Proform prides itself with feature packed fitness equipment. The Proform 690 treadmill has eight pre-programmed workouts, grip heart rate monitor, coolaire workout fan, and Ifit Live.

Proform has made its models more appealing by providing an good warranty. In the past, its warranties were 90 days but you can expect the Proform 690 Treadmill to have a lifetime on frame and motor. However, its 1 year on parts and labor is a bit weak.

Final verdict:

The proform 690 treadmill is our favorite Proform treadmill. One of the reasons for that is because it’s currently on sale for $799, which makes this model VERY appealing. At the regular price of $1299, it competes against other models and brands that are more reliable.

It is well prices and received 4 star rating from its users. Most users thought it had a strong frame, good features and overall are happy.
