The Nordic Track company is a subsidiary of Icon Health & Fitness, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of fitness equipment. Icon also manufacturs treadmills for Reebok, Weslo, Proform, Healthrider and other brands.

Nordic Track treadmills are mainly offered in the mid end price range but they also compete in the low and high end range. The treadmills range from as low as $799 to as high as $4,999.

Strong Point

Nordic Track treadmills are known to have a plethora of features. CoolAireTM; Fans, CardioGripTM Heart Rate Monitor, Carb CounterTM, DuraSoft VTM Impact Cushioning, 1-StepTM Pulse Monitor are some of the many features offered with their lowest priced treadmill. Nordic Track treadmills, in general, don’t have the superior quality finish as other treadmill brands in the same price range offer. We must say, they have been improving their treadmills durability but they do have a reputation of lagging behind the competition.

For the price you will pay on a Nordic track treadmill, the warranty does not match the treadmills durability. Most of Nordic Track’s treadmills offer a lifetime on motor, one year on parts and one year for in-home service. This is not a horrible warranty but taking the many features their treadmills offer into consideration, we would like to see a longer warranty on parts. They offer extended warranties from 1 to 3 years.

For its price, the NordicTrack C 2200 Treadmill comes with many features including a heart rate monitor, 10 programs and a one button speed change to directly go to the speed you desire without having to hold down the button.

With a weight of 195 lbs we would only recommend this Nordic Track treadmill to walkers or light joggers but if you are a frequent runner, take a look at treadmills above $1500.

For $50 more, the Nordic Track C2300 has more horse power, two more programs and a better cushioning deck than the Nordic Track C2200.
