The overall rating on these fitness equipment are average. They are nothing spectacular, just a decent mid end treadmill.

Weak Point

The production of all of the Horizon line has been moved to China. The packaging on these machines is nothing short of spectacular, especially considering the price.

The 1.2T Horizon treadmill is the entry model for the Elite series. With its price tag at $899, you can definitely find better models at the same price. Its 1.75 continuous duty is below average as well as its warranty. Its reliability and quality have room for improvement and there are some quality concerns on the electronics.

HORIZON Horizon 2.2T Treadmill

The next Horizon treadmill in line is the 2.2T. It’s a slight improvement on the 1.2T. As far as its ratings go, there’s no real improvement. Its low reliability, quality and warranty are a clear reflection of its lower ratings.

The Horizon 4.2T Elite is entering a price range that includes Pacemaster and Bodyguard. As mentioned, Horizon treadmills specialize in the low-mid end range.

Any treadmill above $1,500 moves into competition with high end brands. Horizon treadmill does not stand a chance against better quality, higher resilience and more durable machines.

Horizon 5.2T Treadmill

The 5.2T Elite is in the same boat as the 4.2T. It is an expensive Horizon treadmill and you are better off looking at high end brands for $2,000.

This is the only Elite series to have heart rate control programs which includes wireless chest strap. It has a large running space of 20 x 60 inch. Its orthopedic belt can jeopardize the durability of the treadmill (since it is heavier and thus requires more power from the motor).

The 5.2T is the most expensive Horizon model and we would suggest the 3.2T Elite for a better value for money.

Horizon T61 Treadmill

The T61 Horizon is the cheapest treadmill that this brand offers. It does not have much and is recommended for walking or light jogs. This T61 is no different from its Horizon treadmill in terms of quality, resilience and durability. But to this model defense, it is only priced at $600.

It has a belt size of 18 x 50 inch and powered by a 1.75 CHP motor. As far as performance, this model needs improvement.

Horizon T62 Treadmill

The T62 is a more respectable model. However, the 2.0 continuous duty motor might have some problems powering the larger belt. Since this model is not warranted for over a year for parts, you might expect some malfunctions down the road.

This is another low end Horizon treadmill. We would pass on this model and look at a price range between $1,000 and $1,500, a domain where Horizon is its strongest.

If you are looking for a treadmill under $1,000, look at the Epic T60.

The T63 is the runner up to the 3.2T as best buy among Horizon treadmills. It’s a decent package for $1,000. You get a more powerful motor (2.5 CHP) to power the 20 x 55 inch belt.

The quality, reliability and warranty are a little weak, but you can expect that in a Horizon treadmill. It has basic features such as one touch speed controls and built in fans.

This is the combination of quality and value in the Horizon line. If your budget is tight, go with the T62 model.

The T64 is the last model of the Horizon series. At $1,200, you are better off getting the 3.2T for the additional $100. You get a longer warranty. Although the T64 has a 15 year motor warranty, with the ortho belt, we would be concerned with long-term reliability.

What the T64 offers is heart rate control and wireless chest strap capabilities. It can be useful for those who like to train in a specific cardio zone. Otherwise if heart rate control is not a must for you, then we would suggest the 3.2T.

Horizon WT950 Treadmill

The WT950 Horizon treadmill is comparable to the T63. A feature that the WT950 has is the wireless pedometer to let you transmit and update your step count for a comprehensive daily workout recap.

For a $1,000 machines, the value you get with the WT-950 Horizon is good. You are better off with Horizon than with Icon Fitness brands.

The warranty is decent considering its price. As far as features go, this model has less than the T63. As far as performance and specs, there is nothing that stands out. We suggest the T63.
