A Lifespan treadmill can range between $999 to $1,699. There are 4 models in this price range and they will all be reviewed individually. But first let’s take a look at Lifespan’s…
Company Background
Lifespan products are imported by PCE Fitness. PCE Fitness started designing fitness equipment for other companies as of 1994. Although relatively new to the market, PCE Fitness has put great effort in producing decent quality machines and presents their products in a professional orderly fashion.
Strong Point
Lifespan produces well compacted treadmills. All their treadmills have a space design where the treadmill is foldable and has an EZ Drop Folding System so you don’t have to support the treadmill while it unfolds. If you don’t have much room in your living space and absolutely want a treadmill, a Lifespan treadmill can do the trick. Lifespan has put together well rounded overall treadmills. There are better treadmills out on the market but Lifespan is not too far behind. They offer decent quality treadmills at a well valued price. Weak Point Compared to other comparably priced treadmills on the market, Lifespan pulls short on motor power. For the price, their motor power is quite good but if they want to over deliver and rise above the competition, a stronger core drive system would be a terrific improvement. Expert Reviews Treadmill Doctor says, “Lifespan is primarily concerned with putting decent quality parts into an attractive package and they do that very well. Some of the issues that relatively new companies face they are still dealing with but overall, their products seem to be a better value than alternatives that are comparably speced.” Conclusion A Lifespan treadmill is a decent overall fitness equipment that offers good valued machines to its consumers. It is well packaged and comes with a variety of features. We definitely give the “ok” to purchase a Lifespan treadmill. Lifespan TR1000-SL Lifespan TR2000-HR - *Best Value Within Lifespan* Lifespan TR2250-HRC Lifespan TR2500-HRC Lifespan Treadmill Features - Where you will find a description of all features __________________________________________________ Lifespan TR1000-SL This Lifespan treadmill offers quite an attractive package for only $999. It’s got 5 preset programs, a heart rate monitor, a decent sized belt and a long motor warranty. It is definitely an ideal walking treadmill however if you are looking to do some jogging and running, we recommend a treadmill near the $1500 price range; its 1.5 HP just won’t cut it. The Lifespan TR1000 SL also has a low height, making it a handy compact treadmill once folded. Speaking of folding, it has a wonderful EZ Drop Folding System that permits you to completely let go of the treadmill and watch it unfold by itself. Overall, this is definitely a treadmill worth buying. If you really want the top of the line treadmill at the same price, then take a look at the Sole treadmill F63 or the Smooth treadmill 6.25. What is interesting to note is the average dimensional size of the belt relative to such a compact size. If you are tight with space in your home then the Lifespan TR2000 HR will definitely solve your problem. Overall, the TR2000 HR is an average packaged treadmill that offers the essentials. For $1,199, we would have liked to have seen a longer warranty on parts but its compact size is quite appealing. This is a well valued treadmill. Price - $1,199 Length - 59 in Width - 30.7 in Height - 50 in Weight - 198 lbs User Weight Capacity - 300 lbs Belt - 18 x 54 inch two-ply Anti-static belt Deck - Non Reversible Power Requirements - 120 Volts nominal Motor - 2.0 HP Continuous duty motor Speed - 0.5 to 10 mph Incline - 0 to 10% Folding - Yes Heart Rate - Yes Heart Rate Control - No Wireless Chest Strap - No Programs - 5 Programs: Manual, Stride, Interval, Hill Climb, Weight Loss Features - Quick Start, Hydraulic Assisted Fold, All Steel Welded Frame, Safety Key, 8 Elastomer Deck Suspension Display - 4 LED Windows: Heart Rate, Incline, Speed, , ¼ Mile Lap Count, Distance, Time, Calories Warranty - Lifetime frame, Lifetime motor, 2 years parts, 1 year labor [Back to Top] __________________________________________________ Lifespan TR2250-HRC This Lifespan treadmill is the first in the Lifespan line up to have a heart rate control. With its heart rate control program you will be able to consistently maintain a target heart rate. It also features a Body Mass analysis showing your Basal Metabolic Rate (the number of calories per day your body burns) and your Body Fat Percentage. This information can be important to monitor your fitness improvements over time. The Lifespan TR2250 HRC is sold at a reasonable price and has a great quality finish to it. It has quite a few features with a whopping 19 programs. Its belt size is good but its warranty on parts is weak. You would ideally look for a warranty of 3 years on parts or more. Overall, this is not a bad treadmill but there are better ones. Look at a Smooth treadmill. You can get an above average treadmill for the same price. Price - $1,499 Length - 76 in Width - 34.5 in Height - 53 in Weight - 190 lbs User Weight Capacity - 300 lbs Belt - 20 x 56 inch two-ply Anti-static belt Deck - Non Reversible Power Requirements - 120 Volts nominal Motor - 2.25 HP Continuous duty motor Speed - 0.6 to 11 mph Incline - 0 to 15% Folding - Yes Heart Rate - Yes Heart Rate Control - Yes Wireless Chest Strap - Yes Programs - 19 Programs: 12 Preset programs, 2 User programs, 1 Target heart rate program, 1 Body fat program (Body Mass Analysis) Features - Quick Speed and Incline Buttons, Handlebar speed and incline buttons, EZ Drop Folding System, All Steel Welded Frame, Safety Key, Variable Durometer Cushions Display - 3 Blue LED Windows: Heart Rate, Incline, Speed, , ¼ Mile Lap Count, Distance, Time, Calories Warranty - Lifetime frame, Lifetime motor, 2 years parts, 1 year labor [Back to Top] __________________________________________________ Lifespan TR2500-HRC The Lifespan TR2500 HRC has the largest belt size of all the Lifespan treadmills. Reaching out to 61 inches by 20 inches, you can be sure to have ample amounts of room to run. The main difference between this Lifespan treadmill and the Lifespan TR2250-HRC is the added Handlebar speed and incline buttons, fewer programs, a more powerful motor, and a large 30 x 8 program matrix LCD display. Not to forget, it also weighs 25 lbs more than the TR2250-HRC. We would definitely pay the extra $200 to get all the changes listed above. This Lifespan treadmill is solid overall. It has an excellent belt size, a good motor power (we would have liked to have seen a stronger motor to turn the large belt around), a good noise level, and a great value. For the top of the line, take a look at a Sole treadmill. The warranty is better and the motor power out performs this one. Price - $1,699 Length - 79 in Width - 34.5 in Height - 50 in Weight - 215 lbs User Weight Capacity - 300 lbs Belt - 20 x 61 inch two-ply Anti-static belt Deck - Non Reversible Power Requirements - 120 Volts nominal Motor - 2.5 HP Continuous duty motor Speed - 0.5 to 11 mph Incline - 0 to 15% Folding - Yes Heart Rate - Yes Heart Rate Control - Yes Wireless Chest Strap - Yes Programs - 8 Programs: 5 Preset programs, 2 User programs, 1 Target heart rate program Features - Quick Speed and Incline Buttons, Handlebar speed and incline buttons, EZ Drop Folding System, All Steel Welded Frame, Safety Key, Variable Durometer Cushions Display - 30 x 8 program matrix Blue Backlit LCD Display: Heart Rate, Incline, Speed, , ¼ Mile Lap Count, Distance, Time, Calories Warranty - Lifetime frame, Lifetime motor, 2 years parts, 1 year labor [Back to Top] Explanation of all Lifespan treadmill features: | Feature | Description | EZ Drop Folding System | The system ensures that you don’t have to support the treadmill while it unfolds.
