Healthtrainer Treadmill - Another Strong Brand Offered by Keys Fitness

This page will review five of Healthtrainer treadmill models. These treadmills range from $799 to $1,799. Before moving on to the reviews, let’s take a look at Healthtrainer’s …

Company Background

HealthTrainer is a branch of Keys Fitness. This brand produce exercise machine alongside Keys, Alliance, Discovery and Ironman. One thing that can be said is these groups of brands are better than the Icon Fitness line.

Keys Fitness is a US based (Garland, Texas) manufacturer and distributor of many fitness equipment including the ever so popular treadmill.

Keys started out in the business world by producing weights and strength training products. Since 1997, they joined the treadmill industry and started offering consumers their large selection of treadmills. Being fairly new to the market, Keys started off at a slow pace but has been showing a considerable improvement since their debut.

Strong Point

If space is a concern, it might be worth looking at Healthtrainer treadmills. Most models are foldable; which can save you space. These machines aren’t heavy so you won’t blow out your back while attempting to fold it.

Healthtrainer treadmills have good motor backed up with a good warranty. For its price range, it’s good to know that the motor won’t be causing you any nightmares. However it’s the rest of the treadmill that should be a concern. This leads to the next sections…

Weak Point

The warranty on parts is definitely below average. Perhaps this is because the part quality and resilience is below par. The assembly is hard to keep in the United States and we could see a shift to China or Taiwan in the short future.

Like most brand out there, Healthtrainer treadmills are average machines. They don’t have anything that stands out. Usually an average treadmill can have a better value if the warranty is longer. Unfortunately Health Trainer comes up short for that too.

Expert Reviews

TreadmillDoctor says” Some of the design of Keys along with some cheaper parts keeps the cost down.”

Conclusion

Healthtrainer treadmills range in the low-mid end price category. Since Keys is one of the stronger companies in specialty fitness, Healthtrainer should remain in the market for years to come. For a treadmill in the $1,500 range, look at the Smooth treadmill. You won’t be disappointed.

HealthTrainer 65t Treadmill

Healthtrainer treadmills - 65t

The 65t Healthtrainer treadmill is a typical entry level machine. Its belt size is only 18 x 52 inch, which should be used to walking or light running at most. With the 65 t, you get all the basic features and design.

The Health trainer 65t does not have much to offer and we would recommend at least the 75t. Look at Sole for folding treadmills, or Smooth for an all around solid treadmill.

HealthTrainer 75t Treadmill - *BEST VALUE WITHIN HEALTHTRAINER*

Healthtrainer treadmills - 75t

The 75t Healthtrainer is a much better model than the 65t. Its running space is good and it has a 2.5 continuous motor powering it. You have 9 different workout programs; 6 of which you can custom yourself. A strong point about this model is the 20 year warranty on the motor. However, 1 year on parts is a little weak.

The 75t Health trainer is the best values model by this brand. If you like his brand, then this is the model for you.

If $1,300 is your budget, look at Smooth or Sole treadmills. These are two good mid-end brands. Sole offers some of the best folding treadmills.

HealthTrainer 95t Treadmill

Healthtrainer treadmills - 95t

This Healthtrainer treadmill is the most performing model this brand has to offer. It has a strong motor and a good running size belt. The 95t Healthtrainer comes with 14 different workout programs and one touch speed and incline buttons. They facilitate changing speeds and incline during your workout.

The one drawback that the Health trainer 95t has is the orthopedic belt. We would stay away from these since it requires more power to motion the belt. Orthopedic belt do not provide much better protection against the joints.

The Pacemaster treadmill would be a good alternate to the 95t priced at $1,799.

Healthtrainer 402t Treadmill

Healthtrainer treadmills - 402t

The 402t is a complete write off. This model should be removed from the market. There is no reason why you would purchase a machine such as this one. Look at the 502 t or the 75t Healthtrainer treadmills.

Healthtrainer 502t Treadmill

For $800, this is a decent machine. It should be used mainly for walking or light jogs. Keys designed this model in the hopes to mass market it and get lots of sales. It warranty is relatively good and the motor should have no problem powering the belt.

If you are looking for a budget treadmill, Proform and Image are other possible choices.
